a place where you belong

For people to feel whole in a sense of the word they need a place where they feel like they belong a place that they can call their own just because they are accepted there no matter what. It is very important for people to feel that. With out a place that you feel like you belong I think that people are sort of missing a part of their life and who they are. In the book that is what Lennie and George are striving for all they want is a place where they can be and no one can tell them what to do, they do not have to ask for permission to do any thing and they can live as freely as they want. No one can make them leave their own land. In the story they spread their dream and it actually becomes reachable when another ranch hand named Candy tells them that he would like to live that dream with them and that he has three hundred dollars that he is willing to put in so that they can get the ranch. This amount of money finally makes their dream possible they keep spreading their dream to other people on the ranch like a black stable boy named Crooks says that he would work for them for free if he could just stay with them on their ranch.
